On the day of Milaad al-Nabi SAW, students of Saifiyah Girls School – Karachi performed khidmat of Kalamra in 4 mohallah of Karachi – Saifee Mohallah, Saleh Mohallah, Adam Mohallah and Essa Mohallah.
Students participated in thaali filling and distribution khidmat. Afterwards all members from all 4 mohallah visited Saifiyah Girls School campus for Kalamra competition.
Mohallahs were required to prepare the kalamra for FMB thaali according to the recipe provided by FMB Office. The efforts would be judged by a panel of 4 expert judges.
Judges conducted a blind tasting and graded each dish according to 4 criteria:
- Presentation
- Taste
- Texture
- Recipe
Each Mohallah presented a commendable effort in all 4 fours avenues, however judges declared Adam Mohallah as the winner with all round excellence in all criterias.
This was the second consecutive year Saifiyah Girls School students participated in performing Kalamra khidmat and holding the competition, inculcating the importance of performing various khidmat in Faizul Mawaidil Burhaniyah.
