As an initiative to start a new project, Manchester FMB has undertaken the project of growing vegetables and fruits in the backyard to be utilized in FMB and Niyaaz.
Committee is utilizing backyards of properties owned by jamaat for this venture. At a small scale currently, vegetables and fruits are being grown in pots to monitor the progress. Coming year a flower bed will be prepared so that the growth scale can be increased. Following items are being grown at the moment.
- Radishes
- Cabbages
- Potatoes
- Spinach
- Salad Leaves
- Mint
- Strawberries
Few of the items were used during Shehrullah Niyaaz. Mint leaves were used in green tea in Shehrullah as well.
FMB Committee is looking forward to increase its scale so that more locally grown items can be used in FMB and niyaaz.
This project has manifold benefits and adheres to various Irshadaat of HuzuralaTUS. MoulaTUS has always guided mumineen towards participation in plantation. Not only will this benefit the surroundings, but even on a small scale mumineen can benefit from the produce. It is also a healthy physical activity, which keeps the body engaged.
Areas, which are unutilized by jamaat can be used into these kinds of ventures so all mumineen can benefit from it.
