A unique program “Twist and Taste”, was organized by Faizul Mawaidil Burhaniyah Rawalpindi on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Five teams consisting of Mashaikh Kiram, Burhani Guards, Shababul Eidiz Zahabi, Zakireen and Mumineen participated with 3 members in each team. The programme was aimed at to showcase mumineen, muminaat and children of Rawalpindi Jamaat how they could garnish everyday’s FMB thaali at their homes according to their taste.
The teams were given three tasks;
- Redo the thaali
- Garnish the white rice
- Cook Chicken Karahi according to their own recipe
Khidmat Guzaars of FMB Rawalpindi setup five small kitchens in Jamaat Khana for the five participating teams where they were provided with all the ingredients, mostly used in the FMB and the homes of mumineen.
All the teams were provided Saturday’s thaali which had the menu of mixed daal, mixed vegetable and white rice. Within 30 minutes all the five teams redid the thaali according to their taste and made a very impressive presentation to the judges and a gathering of around 150 mumineen.
Then the five teams cooked a tasteful Chicken Karahi which was duly applauded by judges and those present to witness one of the unique programs organized by FMB, Rawalpindi.
Shababul Eidiz Zahabi team comprising Dr Ali Shakir, Qasim bhai Mundrawala and Ali M Dr Shabbar won the competition after securing 271 marks out of 300.
Zakireen stood second while Mashaikh Kiram, Burhani Guards and Mumineen ended up third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Aamil Sahab Rawalpindi Janab Murtaza BS awarded prizes among all the participants and appreciated the effort of FMB Rawalpindi team for organizing such a meaningful program.
