On 20th January 2017, 4th Jamadil Ula, farzando of MSB Karachi visited FMB kitchen to acquaint themselves with activities conducted in FMB.
Farzando from classes 6-12 participated in the activity. Classes of 11 and 12 were required to conduct a detailed survey.
MSB Farzando were briefed on various facets of FMB with visits to various departments in FMB such as store, roti making area and kitchen. Groups were formed where each group would be taken to working place of a different department in FMB where the entire working process was briefed.
Following aspects were covered during the visit:
- Roti making activity as per khushi of Huzurala TUS,
- Menu planning,
- Store visit with store keeping and bulk purchasing,
- Financial planning and Niyaaz takhmeen,
- Kitchen visit with pre-cooking preparations and cooking,
- Flow management in kitchen for smooth working,
- Kitchen maintenance,
- Zabihat area visit.
Activity concluded with thaali filling and farzando going for distribution. Many farzando also participated in cleaning vessels of any remaining dana present.
The purpose of the activity was for farzando to appreciate the nemat of FMB which is much more complex than we imagine. Khidmat guzaar put a lot of effort to ensure thaali reaches every household whilst upholding the lofty standards Faiz of Moulana should carry. Each child, mumin and mumina must sense the magnitutde of the nemat whose realization was the ultimate goal.
