Following on the Seminar conducted on 28th October 2017 in Karachi on how to maximize the barakaat of Ashara Mubaraka Mawaid, Medical Checkups of cooks were conducted in Karachi.
All of the 17 mohallahs of Karachi were required to undergo medical checkup after which each would be issued a food handler’s card, clearing him from any harmful pathogens which could infect food.
104 Cooks underwent medical checkup till now.
45 Cooks have been issued Food Handler’s Card.
28 Cards are under process.
31 Medical Checkups are still under process.
All those who come in direct contact of food, from pre-cooking till the filling of thaali are deemed as food handlers. If food handlers are suffering from any transferrable illness, it can cause major harm to anyone consuming.
FMB is the source of our daily nourishment. But the food stands out from others by the nourishment it provides our nafs by the barakat of Moula TUS. Nothing should compromise the nourishment it provides, while elevating its sanctity to the heights it deserves. Therefore maximum measures should be taken while cooking in FMB and khidmat guzaar must strive to avoid any lapse; and medical checkup helps in achieving those lofty standards.
