For the third year, Saifiyah Girls School organized Kalamra Competition amongst four Mohallah of Karachi celebrating Milaad al-Nabi SAW and Iftetah of Ghurratul Masajid.
Four Mohallah participating in the competition were, Adam Mohallah, Essa Mohallah, Ibrahim Mohallah and Saleh Mohallah.
Students of the school performed khidmat of mithaas (kalamra) in all the Mohallah. Students also visited Mohallah to perform thaali filling and distribution khidmat.
In a short program organized, students of Saifiyah Girls recited Na’at and Madeh. Ima-e-Fatema AS (Azwaaj of Ummaal Kiraam) of four participating Mohallah and 2 teachers from MSB Educational Institute judged the dish in 3 avenues; recipe, taste and texture.
For the second year in the row, Adam Mohallah was declared the winner, with other Mohallahs following very closely in the points.
The main purpose of these activities is to nuture the upcoming generations on our traditions, and prepare them to perform various khidmat.
